PACKAGE ROOM BY ROOM
Start on one area of a room at a time and don’t mix items from different rooms in one package. This tactic will help you prevent small items from being lost or misplaced.

LABEL YOUR PACKAGES
Write a description of the contents and the room name on the outside of the box. This will provide additional clarity and ease for you and your movers.

USE PACKAGING PAPER
Regular newspaper may bleed ink onto your items. Use white packing paper to wrap all your items.

STICK WITH MOVING BOXES
Use boxes designed specifically for moving. Boxes obtained from grocery stores are not always clean and might not hold the weight of the items that you will be putting in them. Also, different box sizes can make loading more difficult for you and your movers.

VALUABLES
You should personally transport heirlooms, important papers, legal documents and valuables. Make packing easier by deciding what doesn’t need to be packed.
